CBO this morning said Maria McRae, Chair of the Transportation Committee was surprised when Kirkpatrick warned her the $400 million of Fed/Prov money was at risk because the City cancelled the LRT contract/project in December. She/CBO then reported that David Jeanes had shared with her the two letters said that the money was not at risk. It was noted the city must put in matching ($200 million?) funds also.
CBO noted that Committee had approved some $143 million in transit spending for improvement and new buses last week. (uh oh.)
