Chaudiere Bridge closed... so use POW bridge!

"Commuters who use the Chaudieres Bridge are being advised to find a different route.
The City of Ottawa says Public Works has shut down the Booth Street bridge for an undetermined amount of time.
A city spokesman says deterioration of the bridge is the reason for the closure of the interprovincial bridge."

It's possible to use the the POW Bridge with the current 3 O-Trains to cover peak morning and afternoon periods. This service could be up and running in short order.

It is the oldest bridge in the National Capital Region and was originally called "Union Bridge". email hosting It was first constructed in 1828 by Colonel By to link Wrightville (later renamed Hull) with the construction site of the Rideau Canal. A ferry service was temporarily used until a new bridge was completed in 1844. Its a great bridge.
It is one of the famous bridge in Ottawa.I feelvery for closed this.It is a very old bridgte thats why they closed this bridge.I like the bridge picture.
