The latest transit plan proposed by city staff is a joke. It does nothing but add more buses. No new light rail lines just a partial conversion of the existing E-W transitway in 8-10 years from now, which most likely means the city's transit ridership will stay below the 30% target. What are they thinking? WOW!!!

Riverside South will still remain under serviced by transit for another 20 years. The LEAST they could have done is extend the existing O-train to Bowesville station, in the short term. To top it all off it seams that some of the south end councillors have given up and are just going to roll over and play dead.

I would be surprised if the province commits any more then the $200 million they already have. As this plan will not significantly increase ridership, a key requirement in acquiring more funding from both the province and the feds.

This just goes to show you that electing O'Brien was the worst mistake.
