The downtown eLRT or Barrhaven origin dLRT could be extended from Hurdman to the VIA train station.

This extension could be done using the transitway with a station in front of the VIA station (where the transitway is now), or with a station behind the VIA station, where the VIA trains already platforms.

An extension behind the station would provide for cross-platform transfers from arriving VIA trans, and would also permit extension of the line to parts further east, as envisioned by the Rapid Transit Expansion Study. (cf Blackburn Hamlet extension, to be documented)

This extension could be done for less than $50M.
